Job Description IRIS Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join its technical team in Jordan. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, data protection, and AI solutions. The role requires strong hands-on technical expertise, advanced troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions across diverse customer environments. Key Responsibilities - Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, including physical servers, storage systems, and virtualization environments. - Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure services. - Implement and support virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, with exposure to Nutanix AHV considered an advantage. - Deploy, administer, and support Microsoft 365 and Office 365 services and enterprise productivity solutions. - Implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID for identity and access management. - Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions. - Support Microsoft Copilot deployment, integration, readiness, and adoption across enterprise environments. - Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). - Support cloud migrations, hybrid infrastructure, resource optimization, monitoring, and security initiatives. - Implement and support enterprise backup, replication, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions. - Deploy and manage endpoint protection and data protection solutions to strengthen enterprise security and resilience. - Integrate enterprise AI solutions using platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and other emerging AI technologies. - Apply infrastructure security best practices, including system hardening, patch management, access controls, and security monitoring. - Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical escalation for complex infrastructure issues. - Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and reliability, recommending improvements when required. - Collaborate with presales engineers on solution design, proof of concepts (PoCs), technical demonstrations, and customer proposals. - Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the technical team. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. - 4–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in systems engineering, infrastructure implementation, or enterprise IT environments. - Previous experience working for a system integrator, IT services provider, or technology solutions company is strongly preferred. - Strong practical experience with Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365. - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune / MDM. - Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and modern workplace solutions. - Practical experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V. Knowledge of Nutanix AHV is an advantage. - Experience administering Linux environments, physical servers, storage systems, and enterprise infrastructure services. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms. - Experience implementing and supporting backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and endpoint protection solutions. - Familiarity with AI platforms such as OpenAI and Anthropic Claude, including enterprise integration concepts and AI-powered productivity solutions. - Good understanding of networking fundamentals, infrastructure security, and enterprise system architecture. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and manage implementation activities independently. - Strong customer communication, documentation, problem-solving, and time-management skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, customers, vendors, and project stakeholders. Preferred Certifications - Microsoft: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, Intune, or Azure certifications. - Backup & Disaster Recovery: Veeam VMCE or equivalent certifications. - Cloud: Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications. - Other relevant infrastructure, Linux, storage, virtualization, cybersecurity, and AI certifications are an advantage.
