Business Analyst

Job Requirements We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst (BA) specializing in Customer Protection Regulations. In this role, you will analyze evolving consumer privacy and financial protection laws, translate these regulatory mandates into technical business requirements, and partner with product teams to build compliant customer experiences. Your primary goal is to safeguard consumer rights while optimizing operational workflows and digital products.Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Translate complex consumer protection laws into clear, actionable Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specification Documents (FRDs) for engineering and product teams.Gap & Impact Analysis: Conduct comprehensive impact assessments on existing business systems, data flows, and customer touchpoints to identify compliance vulnerabilities.Process Mapping: Document "As-Is" and design "To-Be" customer journeys, ensuring consent management, data privacy disclosures, and fair-treatment checkpoints are seamlessly integrated.Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between the Legal/Compliance team, Product Management, and IT/Software Development squads.UAT & Compliance Testing: Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) criteria, write test scenarios, and validate that deployed system updates meet strict regulatory standards before launch.Required Qualifications & CertificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 5–7 years as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years dedicated to regulatory compliance, consumer data privacy, or consumer finance protection.Methodologies: Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum environments, including writing user stories, managing product backlogs in Jira/Azure DevOps, and creating process maps (Visio/Lucidchart).Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant regulations such as CCPA/CPRA, FTC Consumer Protection Rules, GDPR, or specific banking regulations (e.g., TILA, RESP, CFPB mandates).
