Oracle Specialist

About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Specialist – Information Technology (Oracle EBS Technical Function) to support the development, maintenance, enhancement, and technical administration of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions supporting enterprise and aviation MRO operations. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical expertise across Oracle EBS custom development, integrations, reports, workflows, interfaces, and system support while ensuring performance, security, reliability, and compliance with IT governance standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Oracle EBS Technical Development & Customization (30%) Develop, modify, test, and maintain Oracle EBS custom components, reports, personalizations, and extensions. Develop and support RICEW components including: Reports Interfaces Conversions Extensions Workflows Utilize PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, XML Publisher, and Oracle Workflow to deliver technical solutions. Follow Oracle development standards, coding practices, version control requirements, and internal IT governance. Participate in code reviews and implement recommended improvements. Ensure all developments are tested and documented prior to deployment. 2. Technical Analysis, Design & Integration (25%) Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform technical analysis and contribute to design, development, testing, and deployment activities. Develop and maintain integrations between Oracle EBS and internal/external systems. Support configuration and technical enablement of Oracle EBS modules. Assess technical impacts, risks, and dependencies related to system enhancements. Participate in technical design reviews and solution discussions. 3. Application Support, Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution (20%) Provide technical support for Oracle EBS incidents, service requests, and production issues. Investigate application, interface, workflow, reporting, and data-related issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Monitor incidents and service requests to ensure SLA compliance. Maintain system stability, reliability, and data integrity. Coordinate with infrastructure teams, vendors, consultants, and technical stakeholders to resolve issues effectively. 4. Performance Tuning & System Optimization (15%) Monitor the performance of Oracle EBS components, database objects, interfaces, and reports. Identify and resolve technical performance issues. Optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, concurrent programs, reports, and interfaces. Support upgrades, migrations, patches, and system enhancement activities. Conduct post-implementation validation and performance checks. Escalate significant performance and capacity risks as required. 5. Documentation, Testing & Collaboration (10%) Prepare and maintain: Technical specifications Code documentation Test scripts Deployment instructions Technical user guides Execute unit and system testing activities. Support business users and functional consultants during UAT. Document technical solutions, issues, configurations, and lessons learned. Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and dependencies. Support internal and external audit requirements. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science Information Technology Computer Engineering Or a related discipline Oracle E-Business Suite Technical Certification is an advantage. Oracle Database, Integration, or Development Certifications are considered a plus. Experience 5–7 years of experience in Oracle E-Business Suite technical development and application support. Hands-on experience with: PL/SQL Oracle Forms Oracle Reports XML Publisher Oracle Workflow Experience developing and supporting RICEW components. Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture and modules including: Financials Supply Chain HRMS Experience with integrations, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and support activities. Aviation or MRO industry experience is an added advantage. ERP Integration & Architecture Knowledge Good understanding of Oracle EBS architecture, databases, and integration methodologies. Performance & Data Integrity Ability to identify and resolve performance-related challenges while ensuring system reliability and data accuracy. Testing & Quality Assurance Experienced in technical testing, defect resolution, and ensuring adherence to approved requirements. Technical Documentation & Communication Strong documentation capabilities with effective communication across technical and business teams.
