Senior Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Establish and own the project baseline schedule (EPS, WBS, activities) for real estate developments using Primavera P6 or MS Project, and define the overall project timeframe from design through handover Lead integration of engineering, procurement, and construction phases into a master timeline; identify critical path, float, and bottlenecks Review and approve baseline schedules prepared by planning engineers before submission to management/client Monitor progress across multiple projects/sites; compare actual vs. planned and drive corrective action plans with PMs Lead delay analysis and Forensic Planning; prepare and defend Extension of Time (EOT) claims Prepare and present progress reports, cash flow forecasts, S-curves, and KPI dashboards to top management and stakeholders Lead resource loading and leveling across concurrent projects for manpower, equipment, and materials Set planning standards, templates, and best practices across the department; mentor junior planning engineers Partner with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Procurement to align schedules and resolve cross-functional bottlenecks Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field 6+ years of planning and scheduling experience in large-scale construction or real estate development, with prior ownership of full project baselines Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project; advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting Strong track record independently leading delay analysis and EOT claim preparation Deep understanding of construction sequencing, resource management, budgeting, and cash flow principles Proven leadership skills — able to review team output, set direction, and represent planning function to senior management Show more Show less
