STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - HIGH RISE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

Project: High-Rise Residential / Commercial Building Project Location: Dubai, UAE Company: SsangYong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. Position: Structural Engineer Key Responsibilities Review structural design drawings, specifications, calculations, and shop drawings for high-rise building projects. Coordinate with structural consultants, architects, MEP teams, subcontractors, and site construction teams. Review and resolve structural technical issues, design discrepancies, and site-related engineering problems. Prepare and review structural RFIs, technical submissions, method statements, and material submittals. Review reinforced concrete (RC), post-tensioning (PT), steel structures, and foundation-related structural details. Support construction teams in resolving structural issues during execution. Coordinate structural design changes and ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable authority requirements. Assist the Technical Manager in structural engineering reviews and technical coordination. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including substantial UAE high-rise building project experience. Strong experience in high-rise residential or commercial building construction. Previous experience with a reputable Main Contractor is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, PT slabs, foundations, and structural construction methods. Ability to review structural drawings, calculations, and shop drawings independently. Familiarity with relevant international structural codes and Dubai authority requirements. Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, or equivalent is preferred. Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills. Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience in 30+ storey high-rise building projects. Experience working with major UAE main contractors. Experience in structural design coordination and resolving complex site structural issues. Familiarity with Dubai Municipality structural approval procedures. Immediate or short-notice availability is an advantage.
