Pricing Specialist – Freight Forwarding

🔹 Job Summary The Pricing Specialist at Quola Shipping Agency is responsible for developing competitive freight rates, coordinating with carriers and partners, and supporting the sales team with accurate and timely quotations. This role is key to winning business and maintaining profitability. 🔹 Key Responsibilities 1. Pricing & quotations Prepare air, sea, and land freight quotations for clients Ensure pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned with market rates Handle RFQs (Requests for Quotation) from the sales team 2. Carrier & vendor management Communicate with shipping lines, airlines, and transport providers Negotiate rates and service agreements Maintain strong relationships with local and international partners 3. Market analysis Monitor freight rate trends and market changes Analyze competitors’ pricing strategies Recommend pricing adjustments to stay competitive 4. Sales support Work closely with the sales team to close deals Provide fast turnaround on quotes (this is critical) Advise on best routing and cost-effective solutions 5. Cost control & profitability Ensure all quotes maintain company profit margins Identify cost-saving opportunities Review pricing structures regularly 6. Documentation & systems Maintain updated rate sheets and pricing databases Record all quotations and contracts accurately Use CRM / ERP systems for tracking 🔹 Requirements 2–5 years experience in freight forwarding / logistics pricing Strong knowledge of: Ocean freight (FCL/LCL) Air freight Incoterms Good negotiation and analytical skills Strong Excel and reporting skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Show more Show less
