Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer – French Speaker is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role involves leading the design and development of electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. The engineer will prepare and review electrical drawings, calculations, and technical specifications, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs with other engineering disciplines. Daily tasks include performing technical analyses, supporting project planning, attending client and internal meetings, and providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. The role also requires effective communication in French to collaborate with francophone clients and partners and support international projects. Qualifications Strong expertise in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for building and infrastructure projects. Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with practical experience in applying relevant codes and standards. Hands-on experience in Power Distribution systems, including load calculations, panel schedules, and distribution layouts. Proficiency in French, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to francophone clients and stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Proficiency with industry-standard electrical design software and CAD tools. Demonstrated experience in leading projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering designs within time and quality targets.
