🗂 We’re Hiring: Watchmaking Technician | Precision Instrument Specialist 🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time 💼 Level: Mid-Level to Senior We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Watchmaking Technician | Precision Instrument Specialist to perform technical inspections, maintenance, repairs, and calibration of precision timepieces and mechanical instruments. This role focuses on watch movement servicing, precision component adjustment, fault diagnosis, instrument testing, and quality control. The ideal candidate will have excellent manual dexterity, strong technical knowledge, and a high level of attention to detail when handling delicate mechanical components. 🎯 Key Responsibilities • Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, automatic, and quartz watches. • Disassemble, clean, lubricate, reassemble, and adjust watch movements according to technical specifications. • Identify mechanical faults, worn components, timing inaccuracies, and movement performance issues. • Perform precision adjustments to gears, springs, balance wheels, escapements, and other watch components. • Test timekeeping accuracy, power reserve, water resistance, and overall movement performance. • Use specialized watchmaking tools, microscopes, timing machines, and precision measurement instruments. • Replace damaged or defective components while maintaining the original design and functionality of timepieces. • Conduct quality inspections to ensure completed repairs meet established technical standards. • Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and component replacement reports. • Support the maintenance and calibration of precision instruments and specialized mechanical equipment. • Follow proper handling, cleaning, and storage procedures for delicate components and valuable timepieces. • Recommend improvements to repair procedures, servicing methods, and technical quality standards. ✅ Requirements • Background in Horology, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline. • Knowledge of mechanical, automatic, and quartz watch mechanisms. • Familiarity with watch movement components, precision assembly, lubrication, and adjustment procedures. • Ability to use watchmaking tools, microscopes, timing machines, and precision testing equipment. • Understanding of mechanical tolerances, measurement techniques, and precision component inspection. • Knowledge of watch servicing, fault diagnosis, and component replacement procedures. • Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to fine details. • Ability to work carefully with delicate components and follow technical repair documentation. • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain consistent workmanship quality. • Diploma or professional training in Horology, Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
