Purchase Officer – General Maintenance & Projects

Core Responsibilities • Technical Sourcing & Procurement: o Electrical & Plumbing: Cables, switchgear, motors, pipes, fittings, pumps, and drainage components matching system specs. o Workshop & Mechanical: Fasteners, bearings, belts, welding, lubricants, tools, and fabrication supplies. o Civil & Construction: Steel, cement, ready-mix concrete, roofing, and materials matching approved BOQs and project drawings. o Machinery & Utilities: Genuine/approved spares for laundry machines, boilers, and air compressors using catalogues, serial numbers, and model specs. • Commercial Management: o Sourcing reliable suppliers, preparing quotation comparisons (analyzing price, quality, warranty, lead times), and negotiating commercial terms for cost savings. • Operational Execution: o Generating POs, prioritizing urgent breakdown requests to minimize downtime, tracking deliveries, verifying received goods, and managing supplier databases. o Coordinating cross-functionally with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Stores, and suppliers. Key Qualifications & Skills • Education & Experience: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related technical field with proven experience in technical/industrial manufacturing procurement. • Technical Competence • Core Skills: Supplier negotiation, cost control, vendor development, and proficiency in MS Excel Show more Show less
