Performance Test Engineer (LoadRunner)

Job Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in Micro Focus LoadRunner and proven experience in the Banking & Financial Services sector. The role is responsible for ensuring the scalability, stability, and performance of mission-critical banking applications through effective performance engineering, testing, analysis, and optimization. Key Accountabilities: Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests. Build, maintain, and optimize LoadRunner scripts using VuGen, Controller, and Analysis. Develop realistic workload models that simulate production-like user activities and transaction volumes. Conduct performance testing for web applications, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and IBM WebSphere MQ integrations. Analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks across applications, middleware, databases, and infrastructure layers. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, middleware, and database teams to resolve performance issues. Monitor system behavior during testing and provide recommendations for performance optimization. Prepare performance test strategies, execution plans, and detailed test reports. Support performance tuning activities and validate performance improvements. Ensure applications meet defined performance, scalability, and availability requirements before production deployment. Participate in release readiness assessments and production performance validation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of software testing and performance engineering principles. Performance Testing certifications. Minimum Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing. Proven experience within Banking or Financial Services environments. Strong practical experience with Micro Focus LoadRunner. Experience testing enterprise-grade applications, APIs, and distributed systems. Experience analyzing and troubleshooting application performance issues. Job-Specific Skills: Load Testing.
