Job Title: Fashion Designer Location: Cairo, Egypt (On-site) Company: Vanilla Wear / Vanilla Homewear Employment Type: Full-time About Us: At Vanilla Wear (Vanilla Homewear), we specialize in creating trendy, comfortable, and high-quality women’s apparel and loungewear. We are expanding our creative team and looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with a strong eye for trends, fabrics, and garment construction. Key Responsibilities: Trend & Market Research: Analyze fashion trends, target market preferences, and competitor offerings to conceptualize fresh and commercial collections. Design & Illustration: Create original sketches, mood boards, and technical design specs for women’s apparel and loungewear. Tech Packs & Sizing: Prepare detailed tech packs, including measurements, construction details, and finishing specifications for production. Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Collaborate with the sourcing and production teams to select appropriate fabrics, colors, prints, and accessories. Sampling & Fit Sessions: Oversee the sample-making process, conduct fit sessions, and provide necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality production standards. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with merchandisers, pattern makers, and the production team from concept to final product delivery. Requirements & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Fashion Designer, preferably within retail, women's apparel, or loungewear. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. Skills & Software: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and manual sketching. Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and pattern making. Competencies: Strong trend forecasting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced retail environment.
