Commercial Finance and Operations Manager

We are recruiting for an established international retailer seeking a hands-on manager with strong accounting and financial management skills, commercial judgement and experience leading operational teams. Reporting to the General Manager, you will take responsibility for financial processes and reporting alongside leadership of key store operations. You will be comfortable managing the books, explaining business performance and working directly with teams to improve sales, service and profitability. Key responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations and accurate financial reporting. Manage the P&L, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash-flow planning and variance analysis. Maintain financial controls, coordinate audits and ensure compliance with company policies and local requirements. Partner with commercial teams on sales, pricing, margins, stock performance and investment decisions. Lead and develop teams within your operational remit, improving productivity, availability and customer service. Manage costs, supplier contracts and process improvements, translating financial insight into practical action. Your background You bring a solid foundation in accounting and finance, together with direct experience leading commercial or operational teams in a retail or customer-focused business. You may have started in finance before moving into operations, or progressed through store management while developing substantial accounting and financial responsibility. You should be equally confident reviewing the accounts and working with teams on the shop floor. We are looking for: Hands-on experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Direct responsibility for people and measurable commercial or operational results. A relevant finance or accounting degree; professional accreditation such as CMA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent is preferred. Strong Excel and ERP skills, with clear communication in English.
