MS SQL Server Database Admistrator

For one of our major clients in Cairo, we are hiring an MS SQL Server Database Administrator. Role Description The MS SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server databases that support analytics and integration solutions for client environments. This full-time remote role involves installing and configuring SQL Server instances, monitoring performance, and implementing backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies. The administrator will handle database security, user access, and data integrity, as well as troubleshoot incidents, optimize queries, and coordinate changes in collaboration with development and analytics teams. Day-to-day activities include performing database health checks, applying patches, documenting standards and procedures, and supporting migration or integration initiatives with other data platforms. Qualifications Strong MS SQL Server administration skills, including installation, configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. Experience with backup and recovery strategies, high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR), and database security best practices. Proficiency in T-SQL, query tuning, index optimization, and analyzing execution plans. Knowledge of Windows Server environments, networking basics, and monitoring tools relevant to database operations. Ability to document procedures, follow change management processes, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote setting. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Prior experience in consulting or supporting multiple client environments is beneficial; Relevant certifications in SQL Server or database administration. Familiarity with analytics and integration environments, including Oracle and Microsoft data platforms, and ETL/data warehousing concepts is a plus. Number of Experience years : 8 Show more Show less
