Senior Structural Design Engineer – PMO (Developer Side) | Jadeer Developments | New Cairo Jadeer Developments is building a portfolio of residential compounds and mid- to high-rise mixed-use projects in Egypt. We are looking for a structural engineer who can both design and challenge designs — the PMO's structural authority on the client side, where safety is never traded for savings. Why this role is different You sit on the developer (client) side: you set the design criteria and approve the work of consultants and contractors. Real ownership: full structural packages from concept to IFC, not isolated calc sheets. Measurable impact: your value engineering shows up directly in concrete and rebar quantity indices. What you'll do Design Creation Lead modeling, analysis and design of RC structures — raft/pile foundations, retaining walls, flat/solid/post-tensioned slabs, cores and shear walls — on ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE, including seismic and wind analysis. Own design packages from concept and schematic through detailed design to IFC; set basis-of-design and interpret soil reports for foundation design. Produce calculation reports and structural drawings; supervise drafting of structural sheets and BBS. Design solutions for client/architectural changes, MEP openings and strengthening works. Design Review & Value Engineering Review external consultants' designs for safety, ECP 203/201 compliance and economy; issue formal review comments. Value-engineer consultant designs and quantify concrete/rebar savings without compromising safety factors. Review contractors' shop drawings and BBS; resolve site non-conformances and issue structural clearances or repair methodologies. Coordination & Mentoring Act as the PMO's structural voice with consultants, contractors, Project Delivery, Technical Office and Cost/QS teams. Provide structural input to stage-gate reviews and design-change cost/time impact assessments. Maintain ECP-updated design templates and coach junior engineers and drafters. What you must bring (please apply only if you meet these) B.Sc. Civil/Structural Engineering; Egyptian Engineers Syndicate membership. M.Sc. is a plus. 7–10 years of structural design experience in a consultancy, developer design/PMO team or contractor design office — including 3+ years in a senior/lead design role. A strong buildings portfolio: residential compounds, mid/high-rise or mixed-use. Expert command of ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE, and of ECP 203 / ECP 201. Hands-on foundation design, including soil-report interpretation. Good English and clear technical reporting. Strong advantages Post-tensioned slab and seismic design experience. Value-engineering track record with quantified savings. CSI Column / Prokon, Revit Structure, ACI familiarity, Consultant/Senior Syndicate grade.
