Senior ERPNext Developer (Frappe and AI)

Role Description The Senior ERPNext Developer (Frappe and AI) will design, develop, and maintain ERPNext modules and custom applications on the Frappe framework, with a strong focus on process automation and AI-driven features. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical specifications, implementing and optimizing back-end logic, integrating third-party services and APIs, and ensuring system performance, security, and reliability. The role involves collaborating with product owners, business analysts, and engineering teams to refine workflows for construction operations, creating technical documentation, and providing guidance on best practices. The developer will also mentor junior team members, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards and deployment pipelines. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Qesm 1st Nasser City. What you'll do - Build AI features inside ERP Next, like assistants that answer from company data, document extraction, smart search, and agents that act on ERP Next, through APIs or MCP. - Own the full AI pipeline, from prompts and embeddings to vector search (RAG), tool calling, guardrails, and evaluation - Pick the right model for each job (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or open-source) and balance cost, speed, accuracy, and privacy. - Use AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot every day, and review AI-written code with a senior eye. - Turn BRDs into clean, upgrade-safe Frappe apps with DocTypes, controllers, workflows, permissions, and reports - Build the APIs that connect ERPNext with our Flutter mobile apps and other systems. - Review code and mentor the team on AI - Test your own work, find gaps, and work through our GitHub workflow and Jira. What we need - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field - 2+ years of real Frappe/ERP Next development (custom code, not just configuration) - Strong Python and JavaScript, and solid MariaDB/MySQL - Working knowledge of Node.js - Experience building REST APIs in Frappe and beyond, including APIs for mobile apps (no mobile development needed) - Frappe internals like hooks, controllers, background jobs, caching, permissions, and whitelisted APIs - Good working knowledge of Docker, Linux, Nginx, and Bench. Solid basics are fine. - Proven experience building with AI, including LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG with embeddings and vector databases, tool calling, and agents - A real understanding of how LLMs work, including tokens and cost, context limits, hallucinations, evaluation, prompt injection, and data security - AI-assisted development as your normal way of working - Git and GitHub - Arabic and English Nice to have - Vue.js or Frappe UI - Experience building or training models, like fine-tuning (LoRA), Hugging Face, or running open-source models with Ollama or vLLM - Machine learning on business data, such as forecasting or classification - MCP servers, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar - Frappe or ERP Next certification Show more Show less
