Health Safety Environment Officer

Job Description: 1. Compliance & Monitoring • Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and procedures. • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety walks. • Ensure that all employees, subcontractors, and visitors follow HSE rules. 2. Risk Management • Identify unsafe acts, hazards, and unsafe conditions; escalate and support corrective actions. • Assist in preparing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS). • Report incidents, near-misses, and follow up on corrective actions. 3. Training & Awareness • Support site HSE inductions for new employees and contractors. • Deliver toolbox talks and awareness sessions on HSE topics. • Promote a positive safety culture across all teams. 4. Reporting & Documentation • Maintain accurate HSE records, including inspection reports, incident logs, and training attendance. • Support the preparation of HSE reports and KPIs for the HSE Manager. • Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. • 3–5 years of HSE experience • Experience in real estate development, construction with exposure to high scale projects. • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent. • OSHA Certification. • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is an advantage. • First Aid and Fire Safety certifications preferred. • Proven experience in leading multi-site HSE teams.
