Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary: The Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all quantity surveying and commercial activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on large-scale construction projects. The role includes cost estimation, quantity take-off, subcontract administration, variation management, progress valuation, and cost control to ensure project profitability and contractual compliance. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed MEP quantity take-offs and cost estimates. Review MEP drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Prepare and evaluate subcontractor packages, BOQs, and tender submissions. Monitor project costs and prepare cost reports and forecasts. Measure and certify subcontractor and supplier payments. Evaluate and negotiate variations, claims, and change orders. Prepare monthly progress valuations and client payment applications. Support contract administration and ensure compliance with project contracts. Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, and procurement teams. Maintain records of quantities, costs, variations, and project correspondence. Participate in commercial meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Mechanical Engineering Minimum 10-15 years of experience in quantity surveying for MEP works. Experience in high-rise buildings, luxury hotels, mixed-use developments, hospitals, airports, or mega construction projects. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, contracts, BOQs, and cost control. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software. Strong understanding of FIDIC and commercial management practices. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
