Chief Risk Officer

Title - Chief Risk Officer Location - Dubai, UAE We are supporting a confidential search for a senior banking risk leader to take responsibility for enterprise-wide risk management, governance and regulatory engagement. The Opportunity You will lead the organisation’s risk strategy and ERM framework, oversee major risk disciplines, and provide strategic advice to Executive Management and the Board. Key Responsibilities Lead risk management across credit, market, liquidity, operational, strategic and reputational risk. Oversee risk appetite, ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing, recovery planning and capital risk. Manage CBUAE engagement, regulatory examinations, supervisory reviews and reporting. Advise the Board, Board Risk Committee and Executive Management. Drive risk transformation, governance enhancements and regulatory remediation. What We Are Looking For 16+ years in banking/financial services, including 10+ years in risk management. 5+ years in senior risk leadership within a UAE-regulated institution. Strong UAE regulatory knowledge, ERM and Basel III expertise. Relevant degree; a Master’s and professional risk/finance qualifications are advantageous.
