We’re Hiring | Interior Design Architect 📍 Location: Amman, Jordan 🏢 Company: PODIUM Architects 💼 Position: Interior Design Architect 📌 Experience Required: 4–5 Years PODIUM Architects is seeking a talented, creative, and detail-oriented Interior Design Architect to join our design team in Amman, Jordan. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with exceptional interior design sensibility, strong architectural knowledge, advanced technical capabilities, and a passion for creating sophisticated, functional, and aesthetically refined interior environments. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent conceptual design skills, creativity, material knowledge, technical accuracy, and the ability to independently develop interior design projects from initial concepts to detailed design, technical documentation, and execution. Key Responsibilities Develop innovative interior design concepts, creative spatial solutions, and comprehensive design proposals for residential, commercial, and other project types. Prepare and develop 2D interior design drawings, including furniture layouts, floor finishes, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings. Develop high-quality 3D interior models, photorealistic renderings, architectural visualizations, and professional design presentations. Manage assigned interior design tasks through concept design, schematic design, detailed design, and construction documentation stages. Translate creative design concepts into accurate, coordinated, and technically developed interior design packages. Develop comprehensive material palettes, mood boards, color schemes, furniture selections, lighting concepts, and finishing proposals. Prepare and coordinate Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) selections, including furniture, decorative lighting, accessories, and interior finishes. Develop detailed interior architectural drawings, including custom joinery, cabinetry, wall treatments, ceiling details, flooring patterns, and bespoke interior elements. Research contemporary interior design trends, innovative materials, furniture collections, finishes, and high-quality design solutions. Coordinate interior design requirements with architectural, structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines. Review interior materials, finishes, technical details, specifications, and design documentation to ensure consistency, functionality, and quality. Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors regarding materials, furniture specifications, and technical requirements. Review shop drawings, material samples, and technical submittals related to interior design when required. Incorporate client feedback, design revisions, and technical comments accurately and efficiently. Participate in internal design reviews, multidisciplinary coordination meetings, supplier discussions, and client presentations. Conduct site visits when necessary to review design implementation, resolve technical issues, and maintain consistency with the approved design intent. Support the preparation of interior design submissions, project proposals, presentations, and design competitions. Ensure all project deliverables meet established design standards, technical requirements, quality expectations, and project deadlines. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design. 3–5 years of professional experience in interior design, interior architecture, and project development. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, with strong expertise in producing accurate 2D technical drawings and high-quality 3D interior models. Strong proficiency in Enscape for high-quality interior visualization and photorealistic rendering. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Proven experience in developing interior design projects from conceptual design to detailed technical documentation. Strong understanding of interior space planning, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, detailed elevations, sections, and construction drawings. Excellent knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, lighting fixtures, decorative elements, and contemporary design trends. Practical experience in FF&E selection, material specifications, furniture coordination, and presentation development. Strong knowledge of interior construction methods, custom joinery, cabinetry details, finishing techniques, and technical detailing. Familiarity with luxury residential interior design, high-end furniture, premium materials, and bespoke interior solutions is an advantage. Good understanding of architectural design principles, building systems, and multidisciplinary coordination. Excellent interior design sensibility, spatial awareness, conceptual thinking, and creative problem-solving skills. Strong presentation, visualization, graphic communication, and design storytelling capabilities. Ability to independently develop, coordinate, and manage assigned interior design tasks. Excellent communication, organizational, collaboration, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet project deadlines. Strong attention to detail, aesthetics, functionality, material quality, and overall design excellence.
