Senior Manager - Commercial

JOB TITLE Senior Manager - Commercial | MAF Retail | Head Office UAE Role Summary The Senior Manager – Commercial Promotions takes end-to-end ownership of the Promotions workstream. Building on the initial foundations already in place, the role holder will design, build and embed a cross-functional promotions operating model – from strategy and planning through execution and post-evaluation – aligning Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations around one integrated promotional process. ROLE PROFILE Role purpose (adapted): development of best-in-class commercial processes and standards Concept Rollout: guarantee implementation of best practices and ensure standardization in all countries. Coordination with Internal Stakeholders: working with Data Analytics and Merchandising & Sourcing teams to recommend appropriate solutions to develop & implement strategy. Project Management: Overseeing the development and execution from ideation to commercialization, cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring milestones are met. Risk Management: identifying risks and setting up ways to reduce them. Workstream ownership and build-up: Assess the current state, define the target operating model (processes, governance, roles and responsibilities/RACI, tools) and lead its implementation. Turn early structures into scalable standards. Prototyping and Testing/pilots: test before rolling out, Setting Goals: clear objectives aligned with leadership strategy. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree with management specialization . Master’s in business administration is advantage. 7–10 years overall and 5+ years in retail. 8–10+ years of experience, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects or programs, ideally in retail, FMCG or consulting. Demonstrated experience building functions, processes or operating models from scratch (greenfield or turnaround). Retail commercial background: trading, category, pricing or promotions.
