Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Alexandria. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, review prescriptions for appropriateness, and provide clear counseling to patients on proper use, side effects, and interactions. Daily responsibilities include managing medication inventory, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate patient and prescription records in accordance with regulatory standards. The Pharmacist will collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient service and support broader health initiatives within the community. The role also involves promoting wellness services, answering patient questions, and contributing to a welcoming, supportive environment. Qualifications Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions, with the ability to apply clinical judgment in community pharmacy practice. Proficiency in prescription processing, dispensing systems, and medication safety protocols, including accurate labeling and documentation. Excellent patient counseling and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and respectfully to diverse populations. Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians, other pharmacists, and healthcare providers, while maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. Familiarity with pharmacy regulations, insurance processes, and quality assurance standards relevant to community pharmacies. Registered Pharmacist license in good standing and eligibility to practice in Alexandria Experience in community or retail pharmacy settings is preferred; additional training in patient counseling or chronic disease management is a plus.
