Senior Denodo Data Virtualization Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Denodo Data Virtualization Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data virtualization solutions using Denodo. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create data models, and ensure seamless integration of data from various sources. Key Responsibilities: Ob Summary We are looking for a Senior Denodo Data Virtualization Engineer with strong experience in data virtualization, banking data modeling, and Enterprise Data Management (EDM). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data virtualization solutions using Denodo, enabling secure, governed, and high-performance access to data across multiple banking data sources. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with banking data models, a good understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Business Intelligence (BI), Big Data, and Data Lake concepts, and practical experience with BusinessObjects BI and Informatica Data Management tools. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Denodo data virtualization layers for enterprise and banking data environments. Develop reusable virtual views, derived views, base views, data services, and semantic models using Denodo. Perform data integration and virtualization across multiple sources, including: Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Relational databases Data Lakes / Big Data platforms Banking applications and operational systems External data sources and APIs Work closely with business analysts, data architects, BI developers, and application teams to translate business requirements into virtualization solutions. Optimize Denodo queries, caching, joins, aggregations, and data source configurations to achieve high performance. Implement appropriate data security, access control, masking, and governance mechanisms within the virtualization layer. Support development of enterprise-wide logical/semantic data models and data access services. Troubleshoot data quality, performance, integration, and connectivity issues across different data sources. Support integration between Denodo and BI/analytics platforms, particularly BusinessObjects BI. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data mappings, source-to-target mappings, virtual models, and solution designs. Collaborate with Data Governance and Data Management teams to ensure compliance with enterprise data standards. Participate in performance tuning, testing, deployment, and production support activities. Support integration and interoperability with Informatica Data Management technologies. Required Technical Skills Denodo / Data Virtualization Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Denodo Data Virtualization. Strong understanding of Denodo architecture and components. Hands-on experience developing: Base Views Derived Views Associations Data Services Cached Views Semantic/Business Views Good understanding of data virtualization versus traditional ETL/ELT approaches. Experience integrating multiple heterogeneous data sources. Banking Data Modeling Strong hands-on experience with banking data modeling. Understanding of common banking domains such as: Customer / Party Accounts Deposits Loans Credit Cards Transactions Payments General Ledger / Finance Risk Experience working with enterprise banking data warehouses is highly desirable. Enterprise Data Management Strong understanding of Enterprise Data Management (EDM) concepts, including: Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Business Intelligence (BI) Data Lake / Big Data Data Integration Data Governance Data Quality Master Data Management (MDM) Metadata Management Data Lineage Data Architecture Data Virtualization Business Intelligence Hands-on experience with BusinessObjects BI. Understanding of universes, semantic layers, reports, queries, and BI data consumption. Experience integrating BusinessObjects with enterprise data platforms and virtualized data sources. Informatica Experience with Informatica Data Management tools is highly desirable. Advanced experience with Informatica technologies such as: Informatica PowerCenter Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) Informatica Data Governance / Metadata Management Other Informatica data management components Preferred Skills Experience in banking or financial services environments. Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases. Strong SQL development and performance-tuning skills. Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar platforms. Understanding of Cloud Data Platforms is an advantage. Knowledge of REST APIs and data services. Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Lineage. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication skills and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field.
