Software Engineer – Digital Payments

We have an urgent requirement for Software Engineer – Digital Payments in banking /payment domain (Must) is required for our banking clients in Abu Dhabi ,UAE Design and implement resilience patterns such as circuit breakers, failover, retry mechanisms, timeout handling, and disaster recovery solutions.--Must Improve system availability, fault tolerance, monitoring, alerting, and production stability across critical payment applications.--Must Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, Resilience4j/Hystrix, REST APIs, Kafka/IBM MQ/AMQ, Oracle PL/SQL, Linux, CI/CD, DevOps, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and monitoring tools.--Must Banking , Payment Domain --Must Key Responsibilties Design and implement application resilience patterns including retry mechanisms, circuit breakers, failover logic, timeout handling, and graceful degradation. Develop enhancements to improve system availability, recoverability, and fault tolerance across critical payment platforms. Analyze production incidents and recurring failures to identify and implement permanent fixes. Implement resilience controls for APIs, messaging platforms, databases, and external integrations. Enhance monitoring, alerting, health checks, and automated recovery capabilities. Develop and maintain resilience test scenarios including failover and disaster recovery testing. Collaborate with solution architects, infrastructure teams, production support, and vendor teams to implement resilience improvements. Support application modernization initiatives to improve scalability and operational stability. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to secure coding and engineering standards. Document resilience designs, implementation approaches, and operational procedures. Required Skills Technical Skills Strong hands-on development experience in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot. Experience implementing resilience frameworks such as Resilience4j, Hystrix, or equivalent. Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture and microservices design. Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, Kafka, or AMQ. Experience with REST APIs and API gateway technologies. Knowledge of Oracle Database PL/SQL and SQL performance tuning. Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting. Understanding of application monitoring and observability tools. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools and practices Functional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Experience working in high-availability banking or payment systems. Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Key Deliverables Design and implementation of resilience improvements across critical applications. Deployment of fault tolerance patterns including retry, timeout, failover, and circuit breaker mechanisms. Enhanced monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery capabilities. Reduction of recurring production incidents and single points of failure. Improved application recovery time and operational resilience. Technical design documents and operational runbooks. Successful execution of resilience and failover testing scenarios.
