Job Summary Lead project risk identification, assessment, analysis, and monitoring across ERC projects to identify potential impacts on execution, cost, schedule, resources, and key delivery milestones. Integrate risk information with project controls, monitor mitigation effectiveness, and provide risk-based reporting to support proactive decision-making, reliable forecasting, and successful delivery of Expo 2030. Accountability & Responsibilities Project Risk Identification & Assessment Coordinate the identification, assessment, and prioritization of project execution risks across construction, infrastructure, and related delivery activities. Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to evaluate potential impacts on project cost, schedule, resources, and key delivery milestones. Review project risk registers and mitigation plans submitted by Delivery teams, PMCs, and contractors to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and emerging exposures. Assess cross-project risks, critical dependencies, resource constraints, and potential disruptions affecting overall project delivery. Conduct scenario analysis and risk simulations to evaluate potential project outcomes and support contingency planning. Project Risk Monitoring & Integration Monitor project risk exposure, mitigation progress, and emerging threats in coordination with Delivery and Project Controls teams. Integrate project risk information with cost, schedule, and resource data to support performance analysis and reliable project forecasting. Conduct schedule and cost risk analyses to assess critical-path exposure, milestone confidence levels, and potential cost overruns. Track mitigation effectiveness and identify unresolved or escalating risks requiring management attention. Evaluate the impact of project changes, delays, contractor performance, and resource constraints on delivery risk exposure. Coordinate with Planning, Cost Estimation & Control, and Delivery teams to incorporate risk assessments into project forecasts and performance reviews. Project Risk Reporting & Performance Analysis Consolidate project risk information and prepare risk reports, dashboards, and key risk indicators to support project performance monitoring. Analyze project risk trends, exposure levels, and potential impacts on execution progress, cost performance, and delivery milestones. Provide risk-based insights and recommendations to support project controls reporting, management reviews, and corrective actions. Highlight significant project risks and coordinate escalation to relevant stakeholders through established reporting channels. Provide risk assessments and supporting analysis for major project milestones and decision gates, including contract awards, notice to proceed, and commissioning readiness. Coordinate with GRC and EPMO to ensure relevant project risk information is reflected in enterprise risk and portfolio reporting, without duplicating their respective accountabilities. Project Risk Coordination & Continuous Improvement Work closely with project teams, PMCs, and contractors to ensure timely updates and consistent quality of project risk information. Support the integration of project risk data into PMIS and project controls reporting systems. Identify recurring risk patterns and lessons learned across projects to support improvements in planning, forecasting, and delivery performance. Recommend improvements to project risk assessment techniques, analytical tools, and monitoring practices. Provide technical guidance to relevant project teams on risk assessment, analysis, and reporting practices. Job Requirements (Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills) Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree in engineering management, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field is preferred. Professional Certifications Preferred Professional certifications in project risk management or project management are preferred. Additional certifications in quantitative & qualitative risk analysis, project controls are an advantage. Experience 7-11 years of relevant experience. Nature of Experience Experience in project risk management within large-scale construction, infrastructure, mega-projects, or complex capital development programs. Experience identifying, assessing, and monitoring project execution risks across multiple projects and multidisciplinary delivery environments. Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including schedule and cost risk analysis, scenario modeling, and contingency evaluation. Experience integrating project risk information with schedule, cost, and resource data to support forecasting and performance monitoring. Experience reviewing project risk registers, assessing mitigation effectiveness, and identifying emerging risks and delivery constraints. Experience preparing consolidated project risk reports, dashboards, and management insights to support project controls and execution decisions. Experience coordinating with project delivery teams, PMCs, contractors, and project controls functions to support risk monitoring and reporting. Experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC, particularly within major infrastructure or mega-project environments, is preferred.
