Data & Analytics Lead

Role purpose: Leads the Data, Analytics & AI team. Accountable for all aspects of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW): data engineering, business intelligence, business analysis and delivery. This is the first hire and takes part in interviews for the other roles. Key Responsibilities • Team leadership: Lead and manage the Jordan data hub team (data engineers, BI specialists and business analysts), including day-to-day management, performance and development • EDW architecture: Own the EDW architecture, data models and design standards • Data engineering: Oversee ETL/ELT design, pipeline development, data quality controls and release management • Business intelligence: Oversee the BI and reporting roadmap, report standards and the reporting data layer • Business analysis: Oversee requirements gathering, KPI definitions, source-to-target mapping and UAT sign-off • Delivery: Own end-to-end EDW delivery: plan and prioritize the backlog with the Data, Analytics & AI department, and manage scope, timelines, risks and dependencies. • Governance: Make sure all work follows the agreed security, data-access and governance rules • Report: Report on delivery progress and KPIs. • Coordination: Work with shared IT hub services (cloud/DevOps, security, QA, project management); these services are outside the role's scope. Required Technical Skills & Tools • Deep experience in data warehouse design • Strong SQL and hands-on knowledge of ETL/ELT tools • Experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Oracle, Teradata or similar) • Data governance, data quality and metadata management • Working knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and business analysis practices (requirements, KPI definition, UAT) • Delivery management of data projects: planning, scope, risks and dependencies • Team leadership and stakeholder management • Agile delivery and Jira Show more Show less
