The Commis Chef will assist senior kitchen staff with daily food preparation, cooking, and plating according to established recipes and standards. Responsibilities include maintaining high hygiene and food safety standards, organizing ingredients and mise en place, and supporting smooth kitchen operations during service. The role also involves collaborating with the kitchen team, following guidance from Chef de Partie and Sous Chef, and helping with stock rotation, basic kitchen cleaning, and equipment care. The Commis Chef is expected to demonstrate a passion for hospitality, follow instructions accurately, and contribute to a positive team environment. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation and basic Cooking skills, with a foundation in Culinary Skills. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Hygiene standards and food safety practices. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to work smoothly within a diverse kitchen and front-of-house team. Candidates should possess teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Completion of a culinary arts course or relevant kitchen experience in hotels, restaurants, or cafes is preferred. Ability to follow recipes and instructions, adapt to changing service needs, and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
