Manager, Processing & Scheme Operations Location: Amman, Jordan Contract Duration: 12 Months Experience: 7+ Years Employment Type: Contract We are looking for an experienced Manager, Processing & Scheme Operations to lead card payment processing, scheme operations, and complex processor migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in end-to-end card transaction processing, issuing and processing ecosystems, scheme compliance, and card portfolio migrations. Key Responsibilities 1. Processing & Scheme Operations Serve as the subject matter expert for end-to-end card transaction processing. Advise business, technology, product, operations, and risk teams on scheme rules, mandates, and industry best practices. Drive processing optimization and operational excellence. 2. BIN, ICA & Licensing Management Manage BINs, ICAs, ARIDs, and associated scheme licensing structures. Lead BIN rationalization, migration, consolidation, and decommissioning initiatives. Maintain governance and oversight of scheme identifiers and licensing requirements. 3. Processor & Portfolio Migrations Lead issuer and processor migration projects from planning through production deployment. Manage card portfolio conversions, host migrations, processor transitions, and scheme connectivity projects. Develop migration strategies, cutover plans, testing approaches, and risk mitigation frameworks. Coordinate with external processors, vendors, and internal stakeholders. 4. Authorization, Clearing & Settlement Oversee authorization message flows, transaction routing, and processing performance. Analyze approval rates, decline drivers, and transaction processing issues. Support clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception management activities. Work closely with operations and finance teams to resolve transaction and settlement discrepancies. 5. Tokenization & Digital Payments Lead tokenization initiatives and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) implementations. Support digital wallet integrations, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Manage token lifecycle processes and associated integration requirements. 6. Testing, Certification & Compliance Coordinate scheme certification, end-to-end testing, UAT, and pilot programs. Ensure production readiness for new products, enhancements, and migration initiatives. Ensure compliance with applicable scheme requirements and operational standards. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 7 years of experience in card payments, issuing, acquiring, payment processing, or scheme operations. Strong expertise in end-to-end payment processing and transaction flows. Proven experience managing processor migrations and complex card portfolio transitions. Hands-on knowledge of authorization processing, clearing, settlement, and transaction routing. Strong understanding of ISO 8583 messaging standards. Experience with MDES, tokenization, and digital wallet integrations. Knowledge of BIN, ICA, ARID, and scheme licensing structures. Understanding of fraud controls, chargebacks, dispute management, and reconciliation. Experience working directly with external processing partners and payment schemes. Strong stakeholder management, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
