Job Description Synpulse is building its Middle East delivery team around a growing book of Islamic banking and wealth management transformations. We are looking for a Business Analyst who knows how an Islamic bank actually works, from product structuring to Sharia governance to the operational and accounting treatment that follows, and who can turn that knowledge into requirements, designs and test cases a technology team can build against. You will join the Dubai office and work across engagements in Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, alongside our Avaloq and digital banking practices. Job Requirements Five to eight years in business analysis or product roles in an Islamic bank, an Islamic window of a conventional bank, an Islamic investment company, or a consultancy serving them. Working knowledge of AAOIFI accounting and Sharia standards and of at least one GCC regulator’s Islamic banking framework (CBUAE, CBK, QCB, SAMA or CMA). Hands on experience on at least one core banking or wealth platform implementation. Avaloq, Temenos T24 or Transact, Path Solutions iMAL, Oracle FLEXCUBE and Finacle are all relevant. Avaloq is an advantage. Strong documentation discipline: you write requirements and test cases that stand up in UAT and in front of a client’s audit team. Comfortable with data: SQL for validation, migration mapping, reconciliation of positions and balances. A track record of running a functional stream through UAT and go live, and of managing client stakeholders directly. Fluent English. Arabic is an advantage. Willingness to travel within the GCC during workshops and testing phases. Job Responsibilities Lead requirement workshops with business, Sharia, risk, finance and operations stakeholders at Islamic banks and investment companies, and document the outcomes as functional specifications, process flows and user stories. Translate Islamic product structures (Murabaha, Ijara, Mudaraba, Musharaka, Wakala, Sukuk, Islamic funds and treasury) into system configuration and data requirements, including profit calculation, pool management, late payment treatment and purification. Map the end to end client lifecycle for Islamic private banking and asset management: onboarding, suitability, investment advisory, portfolio management, fund subscriptions and redemptions, Zakat and reporting. Own the functional side of implementation phases: analysis and design, build support, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, data migration validation and training. Produce the artefacts the programme runs on: gap analyses, traceability matrices, test scenarios, migration mapping sheets, user guides and sign off packs. Work with Sharia boards and internal Sharia audit to confirm that proposed designs stay within approved structures and AAOIFI standards, and keep a clear record of what was agreed. Support proposals and client presentations with product knowledge, demonstrations and effort estimates. At Senior Consultant level, run a workstream, coach junior analysts, own the client relationship for your stream and contribute to account growth. Job Benefits A seat at the centre of Synpulse’s Middle East growth, in a small team where your work is visible to clients and to partners from day one. Exposure to the full lifecycle of greenfield and replacement core banking programmes, not a single module. Structured development through the Synpulse Academy, Avaloq certification, and a career advisor model with transparent promotion criteria. Competitive package with DIFC employment, medical cover, and relocation support where applicable. Show more Show less
