EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile, experienced, and reliable “Senior Structural Engineer, Mining”. You’ll join our collaborative Mining team, working alongside multidisciplinary professionals to deliver practical, innovative solutions for complex mining projects. Location: Riyadh, KSA Job Requirements and Description Perform analysis and design of steel structures and concrete foundations per the applicable codes and standards in the mining and heavy industrial sector. Prepare sketches and collaborate with the designers to produce detailed drawings. Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and scope documents. Undertake the detailed working drawings of steel, concrete, wood and masonry. Implement the safety and integrity principles in structural documentation. Background and Qualifications Minimum 15+ years project engineering, design and construction experience in surface and underground mining. Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. Design and construction experience in heavy industry with experience in structural inspection & assessment. Strong hands-on experience in the analysis and design of steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, building and heavy equipment foundations preferably in mining. Experience in environmental structures considered an asset. Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers. Familiarity with Mine Health and Safety Regulations. Knowledge of mining-related processes a definite asset. Proficiency in STAAD.Pro for Structural Analysis and Design. Sound understanding of design, Saudi engineering codes and technical standards. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.), CAD, and BIM tools. Experience in writing technical reports, specifications and in preparing the material take-offs for Cost Estimates. Non-Technical Professionalism: Appropriate written and verbal communications skills. Professional presentation external and internal to office. (IE: attire, engagement, meeting prep, etc.) Demonstrates presentation skills through internal and external technical presentations and white papers.
