We’re Hiring | Senior Architect 📍 Location: Amman, Jordan 🏢 Company: PODIUM Architects 💼 Position: Senior Architect 📌 Experience Required: Minimum 7 Years PODIUM Architects is seeking a highly skilled, creative, and experienced Senior Architect to join our architectural design team in Amman, Jordan. We are looking for a design-driven professional with extensive architectural experience, advanced technical expertise, and strong leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading architectural projects across all design stages, from initial concept development to detailed design, construction documentation, and regulatory approvals. The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional architectural design sensibility, sound technical judgment, excellent multidisciplinary coordination skills, and the ability to independently lead projects, guide design teams, and maintain the highest standards of design quality and technical accuracy. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of innovative architectural concepts, design strategies, and comprehensive design proposals for various project types. Oversee the preparation and review of comprehensive 2D architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, detailed drawings, and construction documentation. Supervise the development of high-quality 3D models, architectural visualizations, renderings, and professional design presentations. Lead and manage architectural projects through concept design, schematic design, detailed design, tender documentation, and construction documentation stages. Develop and review coordinated architectural design packages, ensuring design consistency, technical accuracy, and compliance with project requirements. Oversee the preparation and coordination of architectural permit drawings and submission packages in accordance with Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) requirements, applicable Jordanian building regulations, and municipality approval procedures. Lead multidisciplinary coordination with structural, MEP, interior design, landscape, and other engineering consultants, ensuring effective integration of all disciplines. Review architectural materials, finishes, building systems, construction details, and technical specifications to ensure design quality, functionality, and constructability. Identify, evaluate, and resolve complex architectural design issues, technical discrepancies, and multidisciplinary coordination challenges. Oversee the preparation and review of architectural tender packages, technical specifications, and related documentation. Provide architectural design input and technical guidance on interior design tasks when required. Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, and technical queries, and provide design clarifications during construction when required. Conduct site visits when necessary to review architectural implementation, address technical issues, and coordinate with contractors and consultants. Lead internal design reviews, multidisciplinary coordination meetings, and client presentations, ensuring clear communication of design concepts and technical solutions. Manage client feedback, design revisions, consultant comments, and technical modifications throughout project development. Lead, mentor, and supervise architects and junior team members, providing technical guidance, design direction, and quality supervision. Manage project priorities, team assignments, and design deliverables to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with project schedules. Ensure all architectural deliverables meet established design standards, applicable regulations, technical requirements, and project objectives. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering. Minimum 7 years of professional experience in architectural design and technical coordination. Proven experience in leading architectural projects independently, managing design deliverables, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, with extensive expertise in producing and reviewing accurate technical drawings and high-quality 3D models. Strong proficiency in Enscape for architectural visualization and rendering. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Extensive knowledge of Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) requirements, applicable Jordanian building regulations, and Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) permit procedures, with practical experience preparing and coordinating architectural approval submissions. Advanced understanding of architectural design development, construction documentation, technical detailing, and building construction methods. Strong knowledge of architectural materials, building systems, technical specifications, and multidisciplinary coordination. Practical knowledge of architectural tender documentation, shop drawings, material submittals, and construction-stage coordination. Familiarity with interior design principles, materials, finishes, and detailing is an advantage. Exceptional architectural design sensibility, conceptual thinking, spatial awareness, and creative problem-solving capabilities. Excellent architectural visualization, presentation, and graphic communication skills. Proven ability to independently manage architectural projects, make sound technical decisions, and resolve complex design challenges. Strong leadership, team management, mentoring, and multidisciplinary coordination skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple projects, establish priorities, allocate responsibilities, and consistently meet project deadlines. Strong attention to detail, technical accuracy, functionality, constructability, and architectural quality. A professional, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to architectural excellence.
