Role Description The Community Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role focuses on providing safe, accurate dispensing of medications, counseling patients on proper use, side effects, and drug interactions, and offering guidance on general health and personal care products. The Community Pharmacist will review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, maintain up-to-date patient records, and support medication therapy management in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include collaborating with healthcare professionals, managing inventory and expiry dates, ensuring proper storage of pharmaceuticals, and supporting home delivery and other patient services. The role also involves contributing to health awareness initiatives, maintaining high standards of customer service, and adhering to quality, safety, and infection-control protocols within the pharmacy. Qualifications Professional pharmacy expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent), valid license to practice in Egypt, strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions. Clinical and patient-care skills: Ability to counsel patients clearly, assess medication-related needs, support medication therapy management, and provide evidence-based health advice. Operational and quality skills: Experience in prescription processing, inventory management, dispensing accuracy, documentation, and compliance with national regulations and company policies. Communication and interpersonal skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, customer-focused mindset, and capacity to work effectively with diverse patients and healthcare teams. Technical and organizational skills: Comfort using pharmacy software, electronic records, and point-of-sale systems, with good time management and attention to detail. Continuous development mindset: Willingness to participate in ongoing training, adapt to new services and operational models, and align with global standards of pharmaceutical care. Additional preferred qualifications: Previous community pharmacy experience, familiarity with health and personal care product ranges, and ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
