Material Receiving Inspector – Mechanical & Piping

We are seeking a qualified Material Receiving Inspector – Mechanical & Piping to support our infrastructure project in Jeddah. The successful candidate will ensure that mechanical and piping materials delivered to the site comply with approved technical submittals, project specifications, and quality requirements before release for installation. Key Responsibilities Inspect incoming mechanical and piping materials against approved submittals, purchase orders, delivery documents, and technical specifications. Perform visual and dimensional inspections to identify damage, defects, corrosion, and discrepancies. Verify material grades, dimensions, ratings, identification markings, and traceability. Review material certificates, compliance documents, and applicable factory acceptance and third-party inspection reports. Prepare and submit Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and coordinate inspections with consultants and client representatives. Ensure proper unloading, handling, storage, segregation, and preservation of materials. Identify nonconforming materials, initiate relevant reports, and follow up on corrective actions. Maintain accurate inspection records and coordinate with procurement, warehouse, construction, and QA/QC teams to support timely material approvals. Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 5–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical and piping material receiving inspection. Approval from Saudi Aramco, NEOM, or Red Sea projects is required. Strong knowledge of applicable material specifications, inspection procedures, certification, and traceability requirements. Experience preparing MIRs and coordinating consultant inspections. Proficiency in inspection documentation and document management systems; familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is preferred.
