Odoo Functional Consultant

Job Summary We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Odoo Implementer (2–4 years of experience) to support the implementation and customization of Odoo ERP solutions. The ideal candidate will assist in analyzing business requirements, configuring Odoo modules, supporting data migration, and ensuring successful project delivery. This role offers hands-on experience across the full implementation lifecycle, working closely with senior consultants and technical teams to deliver effective ERP solutions tailored to client needs. Key Responsibilities • Conduct client discovery and requirements-gathering sessions; analyze business processes and document functional needs. • Prepare business requirements documents (BRDs), process maps, functional specifications, and configuration records for assigned workstreams. • Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend standard Odoo configurations or workflow improvements before requesting customization. • Configure and validate assigned Odoo modules, such as CRM, Sales, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, and HR, according to project scope and client requirements. • Own assigned functional activities through the implementation lifecycle, including configuration, testing, user training, go-live preparation, and hypercare. • Coordinate data cleansing, mapping, import, reconciliation, and validation during migration from legacy systems. • Prepare and execute functional test scenarios; coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), record defects, and verify fixes before go-live. • Collaborate with Odoo developers and integration specialists to clarify customization and third-party integration requirements, validate solutions, and manage functional handoffs. • Deliver end-user training and clear user guides; support adoption of approved business workflows. • Troubleshoot functional issues during and after implementation, escalating complex technical or architectural matters to senior consultants or technical leads. • Provide timely client updates on assigned deliverables, dependencies, risks, and outstanding decisions. • Keep current with relevant Odoo releases, functional features, and implementation practices. Required Qualifications & Experience • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Odoo functional implementation or client-facing ERP consulting. • Experience configuring Odoo and delivering functional activities across at least two core modules (for example Sales, CRM, Inventory, Purchase, Accounting, or HR). • Working knowledge of end-to-end business processes and the ability to translate requirements into practical system workflows. • Experience with stakeholder workshops, functional documentation, configuration, testing, UAT, and go-live support. • Practical experience in Odoo import/export, data mapping, and migration validation. • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, end users, developers, and project stakeholders. • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, issue ownership, and time-management skills. • Ability to independently manage assigned modules or workstreams and escalate complex delivery risks appropriately. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Exposure to both Odoo Community and Enterprise editions, including cloud-hosted and on-premise environments. Basic understanding of Python and XML sufficient to discuss customization requirements with technical teams (coding is not required). Prior B2B client consulting experience, including workshops, demonstrations, and end-user training. Familiarity with regional business practices, local regulations, and financial requirements relevant to ERP implementation. Knowledge of Saudi Arabia's VAT, ZATCA e-invoicing, GOSI, and other relevant local compliance requirements is a strong advantage. Show more Show less
