Senior Logistics Specialist – Pharmaceuticals industry

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all import and export shipments from origin to final destination. Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of all import/export documentation. Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates on shipment progress and expected arrival dates. Handle import and export documentation through relevant platforms, including CargoX and Nafeza, and manage ACID number creation. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs clearance agents to ensure efficient routing, competitive freight rates, and optimized transit times. Manage customs clearance activities and resolve related administrative and operational challenges. Maintain strong working relationships with customs authorities and external service providers. Identify opportunities to improve customs clearance processes and enhance operational efficiency. Monitor and maintain records of demurrage costs, ensuring proactive actions to minimize and eliminate unnecessary charges. Coordinate shipment arrivals with warehouse teams to ensure smooth receiving operations. Follow up on local transportation and delivery of shipments. Ensure compliance with Egyptian customs regulations, international trade requirements, Incoterms, and dangerous goods transportation regulations. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Import & Export, Customs Clearance, and Freight Forwarding. Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of Egyptian customs clearance procedures, Incoterms, dangerous goods transportation regulations, and logistics operations. Hands-on experience with CargoX, Nafeza, and ACID procedures. Good knowledge of SAP and advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent command of both written and spoken Arabic and English.
