CCIE Data Center Level 3

Key responsibilities : Design and architecture 1) Design ACI fabrics (spine-leaf, Multi-Pod, Multi-Site) to meet capacity, availability and segmentation needs. 2) Define the policy model tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, endpoint security groups (ESGs), contracts and filters. 3) Produce high-level and low-level designs, IP plans and migration plans from legacy networks (Catalyst, Nexus NX-OS) to ACI. Implementation and integration 1) Build and upgrade APIC clusters, Nexus 9000 spine and leaf switches, and Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator (NDO). 2) Configure access policies: VLAN pools, domains, AAEPs, interface and switch profiles, vPC and port channels. 3) Set up L3Outs (OSPF, BGP, static) and L2Outs to external routers, firewalls and the WAN. 4) Integrate ACI with VMware vCenter (VMM domains), Kubernetes/OpenShift, and hypervisors. 5) Deploy service graphs and policy-based redirect (PBR) for firewalls and load balancers . Operations and support 1) Monitor fabric health, faults and events with APIC and Nexus Dashboard Insights. 2) Troubleshoot endpoint learning, contract drops, routing and forwarding issues across the fabric. 3) Act as the Level 3 escalation point for P1/P2 data center incidents, lead bridge calls, work cases with Cisco TAC, and deliver root-cause analysis reports. 4) Plan and execute firmware upgrades, maintenance windows and change requests under ITIL processes. Automation and documentation 1) Automate provisioning and checks with the APIC REST API, Python, Ansible or Terraform. 2) Keep designs, runbooks, configuration standards and as-built documents current. 3) Apply security hardening, RBAC, backup and audit policies on APIC. 4) Mentor L1/L2 engineers, review their changes, and own the technical roadmap for the data center fabric. Preferred qualifications 1) Cisco CCIE Data Center (strongly preferred at Level 3). 2) Infrastructure-as-code with Ansible, Terraform (ACI provider) or Cisco NSO, plus Git-based change workflows. 3) Experience with Nexus Dashboard Insights, Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) and NX OS VXLAN EVPN fabrics. 4) Exposure to Cloud Network Controller (Cloud APIC) or hybrid connectivity to AWS and Azure.
