Sustainability Engineer / LEED Specialist

We Are Hiring | Sustainability Engineer / LEED AP BD+C Specialist ASALI Engineering Consulting & Project Management is seeking an experienced Sustainability Engineer / LEED AP BD+C Specialist to join our team and support the development and delivery of sustainable building projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading sustainability strategies, coordinating LEED requirements, supporting multidisciplinary design teams, and ensuring that projects comply with applicable green building standards and certification requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate sustainability and green building strategies across project design and construction stages. Manage and support LEED certification requirements in accordance with LEED BD+C guidelines. Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, and specialist consultants to integrate sustainability requirements into the design. Review project designs, specifications, materials, and systems against sustainability and LEED criteria. Prepare and maintain LEED scorecards, compliance trackers, documentation, calculations, and supporting submissions. Identify opportunities to improve project performance in areas such as: Energy efficiency Water efficiency Sustainable materials Indoor environmental quality Site sustainability Waste reduction Coordinate sustainability requirements with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders during construction. Review material submittals and technical documentation for compliance with sustainability requirements. Support energy, water, daylight, thermal comfort, and other sustainability-related studies where required. Participate in design workshops, technical meetings, sustainability reviews, and client presentations. Track certification requirements and ensure timely completion of all required documentation. Support the development of sustainability reports, strategies, presentations, and project recommendations. Provide technical guidance to project teams on applicable green building standards and best practices. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in sustainable buildings, green building design, or sustainability consultancy. LEED AP BD+C (Building Design + Construction) certification is mandatory. Proven experience working on LEED-certified or sustainability-focused building projects. Strong understanding of LEED BD+C requirements, documentation, credits, and certification procedures. Good knowledge of sustainable design principles, energy efficiency, water conservation, materials, indoor environmental quality, and environmental performance. Strong experience in multidisciplinary coordination. Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, reports, and material submissions from a sustainability perspective. Good analytical, reporting, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to manage sustainability deliverables, deadlines, and certification requirements across multiple project stages. Experience in large-scale building, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, or institutional developments is preferred. Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
