Role Description The Coating Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. This position is responsible for inspecting and verifying surface preparation, painting, coating, and insulation work in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements. The Coating Inspector monitors application processes, checks material certifications, records inspection results, and prepares detailed reports on findings and corrective actions. The role involves coordinating with supervisors, contractors, and quality teams to resolve nonconformities, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and maintain consistent quality across all coating and insulation activities. The Coating Inspector also participates in pre-job meetings, conducts visual and measurement-based inspections, and supports continuous improvement of coating practices. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Experience as a coating inspector. Strong supervisory skills to oversee coating and insulation activities, coordinate teams, and ensure adherence to safety and quality procedures. Technical knowledge of paint systems and application methods, including surface preparation, mixing, and environmental condition checks. Experience with insulation materials and installation techniques, ensuring proper application and compliance with project specifications. Proficiency in coatings inspection and quality control, including visual inspections, thickness measurements, adhesion tests, and documentation. Relevant certification such as NACE, BGAS, SSPC, or equivalent in coatings inspection is preferred. Previous experience in industrial, energy, maritime, or defense projects involving protective coatings and insulation. Preference will be given to candidate with experience in Qatar adn familiarity with energy site project requriements. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multicultural teams on-site.
