Substation Design Engineer

We’re Hiring: Senior Electrical Engineer – Substation Design What We’re Looking For Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred). Experience: 5+ years in substation design, with at least 2 complete projects delivered from concept through energization. Hands-On Skills: Strong command of primary/secondary design and the ability to personally draft in AutoCAD (not just manage drafters). Commercial Expertise: Proven experience preparing BOQs, sourcing vendor quotes, and estimating total substation build costs. Standards & Software: Solid working knowledge of IEC 61936, IEC 62271, IEC 60076, IEEE 80, and IEC 61850. Proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or CDEGS). Regulatory: Track record of navigating utility and grid operator design approval processes. Communication: Clear, professional written and spoken English for client and stakeholder interaction.
