Accountant

Sana Investment | Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Sana Investment is seeking a qualified and motivated Accountant to join its team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations and real estate project accounts, ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and effective financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable Saudi regulations. Key responsibility: 1. Accounting & Financial Reporting · Prepare trial balances, financial statements, and supporting notes in accordance with IFRS. · Perform account reconciliations and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing. · Prepare and analyze periodic accounting and financial reports for management. 2. Accounts & Cash Flow Management · Manage accounts payable and receivable and monitor financial transactions between projects. · Monitor bank accounts, cash movements, and company cash balances. · Coordinate bank transactions, contractor payments, and fund transfers. · Monitor cash flows and prepare monthly cash flow forecasts for ongoing projects. 3. Tax & Zakat Compliance · Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with ZATCA requirements. · Follow up on VAT refund claims related to real estate projects. · Reconcile tax accounts and resolve discrepancies. 4. Real Estate Project Accounting · Maintain and review project accounting records and journal entries. · Monitor project budgets, costs, completion rates, and profit margins. · Review contractor invoices, payment certificates, and contractual obligations. · Coordinate with project managers to verify completed works and approve payments. · Analyze cost variances and prepare project financial performance reports. 5. Internal Controls & Auditing · Implement accounting policies and internal control procedures. · Review accounting transactions and identify and correct discrepancies. · Prepare supporting documents for external audits and follow up on audit recommendations. Qualifications & Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Accounting. · At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience. · Experience in real estate development or contracting companies is highly preferred. · Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). · Familiarity with Saudi tax and Zakat regulations and ZATCA requirements. · Experience in financial statements, account reconciliation, and cash flow management. · Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. · Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. · High attention to detail and ability to work independently. · Probation Period: 3 Months · Employment Type: Full-time Show more Show less
