Solution Engineer, Associate (IT/Technical Pre-Sales Experience)

About The Role & Team As a Solution Engineer Associate, you will support Sales Managers in analysing customer requirements and developing technical solutions and proposals. You will gain hands-on exposure to bid processes, and cross-functional collaboration while progressively increasing your responsibility and technical ownership. What You Will Do Build and assist in the design and documentation of customer solutions using SITA’s products, services, and technologies. Contribute to the preparation of technical proposals and bid documentation under the guidance of senior team members. Develop knowledge of SITA solution portfolios, emerging technologies, and air transport industry processes. Collaborate with Sales, Services, and Implementation teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with customer needs. Assist in the design of standard and moderately complex solutions, following established, standard architectures and best practices. Develop expert-level proficiency in the CPQ/LogikIO configuration tool to create accurate quotations and support the wider team with related configuration and quoting activities. Analyze and understand customer technical requirements and help translate them into standard SITA products and solution components. Contributes to the preparation of technical sections of customer proposals, including solution descriptions, assumptions, constraints, and technical compliance matrices. Support bid teams during proposal phases, ensuring timely delivery of assigned tasks and deliverables. Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Commercial, Global Services, Engineering, and Implementation teams to gather inputs for proposals. Support the handover of awarded projects to implementation teams by contributing to solution documentation and knowledge transfer sessions. Maintain accurate documentation of solutions, configurations, and customer requirements. Continuously build technical, industry, and commercial knowledge through training, self-learning, and on-the-job experience. Qualifications Who You Are Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Relevant technical training or certifications are an advantage Interest in solution design, systems integration, or technical pre-sales 2–4 years of experience in an IT, technology, or systems-related role Exposure to pre-sales, solution design, systems engineering, or technical consulting is a plus Experience working in international or cross-functional environments is desirable Basic understanding of IT systems, applications, or solution architectures Interest in the air transport industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Customer-oriented mindset and willingness to support sales and pre-sales activities Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, matrix organization Strong motivation to learn and grow into a more senior solution design role Fluency in English is mandatory, additional European languages are an advantage What We Offer We're all about diversity.
