Design Engineer

1. JOB PURPOSE Designs and improves the group's hardware products and related tools, ensuring cost-effective, functional, durable and safe designs through the standard validation process. 2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Engineering ▪ Performs, with direction, basic engineering work activities such as product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations to assist operations. Improvement / Innovation ▪ Implements improvements and carries out simple change management tasks by following established procedures to support others. Product & Solution Development ▪ Analyzes customer needs and defines and delivers prescribed products by performing designated development/engineering activities using established systems. Product Design & Development ▪ Design of new hardware products. ▪ Develop and improve existing hardware. ▪ Product cost reduction and modularity. ▪ Evaluate the final product in terms of appearance, performance, functionality, durability, and safety. ▪ Follow the standard process for product validation. ▪ Design the required product-related tools (gauges, fixtures, etc.). Process & Resource Optimization ▪ Optimization of the raw materials used in the production process. ▪ Optimization of working hours in the production process. Design Tools & Confidentiality ▪ Full responsibility for all tools used in the design process, such as computers and measuring tools, in addition to maintaining the confidentiality of customer information.
