Company Description Leisure Lab is a leisure and entertainment business that builds, operates, and improves leisure ventures, with a strong focus on guest experience and operational excellence. Founded in 2018, the company brings together international expertise across attractions, family entertainment, hospitality, sport, and destination operations. Leisure Lab works across three core areas: developing and operating leisure ventures, advising owners and investors on performance and operations, and training teams through its Leisure Academy. One of our ventures is The Bean Play Cafe in Riyadh, a family leisure and food & beverage concept where the Family Experience & Cafe Manager (Play Cafe Manager) role is based. The company emphasizes practical, results-driven work to create stronger, more sustainable leisure businesses.
About The Bean Play Cafe
The Bean Play Café is a welcoming place where children can explore, families can connect and grown-ups can enjoy a good coffee and a moment to relax.
Our promise—Play • Connect • Relax—shapes everything we do. From imaginative play and creative activities to quality café favourites and family celebrations, we bring together experiences that make a visit enjoyable for the whole family. We want children to feel curious and confident, and parents and caregivers to feel comfortable, included and cared for.
We believe our people will make the difference. Thoughtful spaces and engaging activities set the scene; our team brings The Bean to life. It happens through a warm welcome, remembering a favourite drink, helping a hesitant child join an activity or noticing when a family needs a little extra support.
We are looking for people who take pride in those moments: people who are attentive, dependable, playful and ready to help. Whatever your role, you will contribute to a safe environment, thoughtful service and a business that families want to return to.
At The Bean, everyone hosts, everyone sells and everyone supports. That means making people feel welcome, recommending experiences they will enjoy and helping colleagues deliver on our promise—with safety and service always coming first.
Your role
As the Guest Experience & Community Lead, you are the welcoming face of The Bean: a natural connector who enjoys being among children and parents, brings people together and leads the team by example.
You will build relationships with Saudi and expat families, turn birthday and event enquiries into confirmed bookings, and create reasons for guests to return. From hosting a coffee morning to connecting with a local nursery, you will turn ideas into experiences that grow our community and our business.
You will work closely with the founders, who retain financial modelling, budgeting and strategic oversight. Your focus is the daily guest experience, community connections, sales follow-through and team coordination, sharing practical ideas and guest insights as we develop The Bean together.
What you will do
· Build genuine relationships with Saudi and expat families, remember regular guests and help newcomers feel part of The Bean community.
· Develop partnerships with schools, nurseries, residential compounds and parent groups to generate visits, group bookings and shared activities.
· Respond warmly and promptly to WhatsApp, Instagram, website and in-person enquiries about birthdays, events, play and memberships.
· Guide families from first enquiry to confirmed booking: understand their needs, explain packages, follow up and coordinate booking details and deposits.
· Plan and host coffee mornings, playdates, workshops and family events, working with the team and partners to deliver enjoyable experiences.
· Be present on the floor, welcome children and parents, introduce families and resolve guest concerns with care and confidence.
· Coordinate daily shifts, station allocations, breaks and event cover so reception, café service and play activities work smoothly together.
· Brief and coach the team on hospitality, enquiries and sales; support induction and help colleagues build confidence across different tasks.
· Maintain food and play safety, capacity limits and safeguarding procedures; escalate incidents and follow through on agreed actions.
· Keep the enquiry and booking records current, track follow-ups and conversion, and share guest feedback and opportunities with the founders.
· Coordinate event preparation, suppliers and team handovers so timings, guest requests and commitments are clearly understood and delivered.
· Help hands-on with reception, activities, party setup and café service within your training, keeping clear duty cover during busy periods.
· Recommend suitable packages and experiences, encourage repeat visits and referrals, and work within agreed prices, offers and venue capacity.
· Bring local insights and practical ideas for community outreach and social content, respecting families’ privacy and consent.
What you bring
· Relevant hands-on experience: You have worked in a nursery, school, kids’ club, family entertainment venue, hospitality, events or community role, with experience coordinating people and welcoming guests.
· A natural connection with families: You enjoy talking with children and parents and can build trust with Saudi and expat families, showing warmth, cultural awareness and genuine interest.
· Sales confidence and follow-through: You listen, recommend the right experience and follow up thoughtfully. You can turn a birthday or event enquiry into a confirmed booking without losing the personal touch.
· Community-building initiative: You feel comfortable approaching schools, nurseries, compounds and parent groups, introducing The Bean and developing relationships that bring families through the door.
· Event coordination skills: You can organise birthday parties, activities or gatherings, manage the details and keep guests, colleagues and partners informed from planning through delivery.
· Ownership and initiative: You notice what needs doing, take practical action and follow through. You enjoy working closely with founders, testing ideas and helping a growing concept develop.
· Organisation and clear communication: You can balance enquiries, bookings, daily service and team needs, keeping accurate records and making sure nothing gets lost between shifts.
· Supportive team leadership: You set a positive example, give clear direction and coach colleagues with patience. You are comfortable coordinating a small team and stepping in where needed.
· A hands-on approach: You enjoy an active role among children and parents, helping with welcomes, activities, party preparation and café service rather than spending the day behind a desk.
· Sound safety and service judgement: You protect children, guests and colleagues, stay calm under pressure and know when to resolve an issue yourself or involve the founders.
· Motivation to grow with The Bean: You care about bringing families back, building a welcoming community and taking greater responsibility as your experience and the business develop.
