Senior Planning Engineer (Al Minya)

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Planning Engineer to join our team at the O&M Complex Project in El-Minya. Responsibilities • Develop, prepare, and maintain detailed project baseline schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and project milestones. • Regularly update project schedules based on actual site progress and identify deviations from the approved baseline. • Monitor and evaluate project progress against planned schedules, ensuring timely identification of potential delays and risks. • Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, highlighting project performance, key milestones, and critical activities. • Conduct schedule delay analysis, identify the root causes of delays, assess their impact on project completion, and recommend corrective actions and recovery plans. • Prepare and maintain resource-loaded schedules, manpower histograms, equipment utilization plans, and progress S-curves. • Monitor critical path activities, project milestones, and overall schedule performance to ensure compliance with approved project timelines. • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Technical Office Engineers, Procurement, and Site Teams to ensure effective planning and execution. • Support the preparation of short-term and long-term look-ahead schedules to improve site productivity and resource allocation. • Participate in progress meetings with project stakeholders and provide planning updates, schedule analysis, and recommendations. • Assist in preparing revised schedules, recovery programs, and project forecasts whenever required. • Ensure that all planning activities, progress updates, and project reports are properly documented and maintained. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory. • 5–8 years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling within the construction industry. • Proven experience working with construction or contracting companies. • Excellent proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel is essential. • Strong knowledge of baseline schedule preparation, schedule updating, resource loading, progress monitoring, and delay analysis. • Hands-on experience in preparing S-curves, manpower histograms, progress reports, and recovery schedules. • Good understanding of construction methodologies, project sequencing, and critical path analysis. • Previous experience in energy, or construction projects is highly preferred. • Familiarity with project controls, earned value management, and performance measurement techniques is an advantage. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, communication, and coordination skills. • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines. • Residents of El-Minya and nearby governorates are preferred.
