Assistant Manager, Compliance Assurance - Compliance

Job Purpose: Support the relevant strategic and Compliance objectives of the Bank by independently assessing Compliance risks, controls, processes and associated reporting matters. Actively support the Compliance Assurance Manager to execute the Annual Compliance Assurance Plan which is part of the overall Compliance Department Annual Plan. Assist in planning, executing, reporting and issue management of Compliance Assurance reviews, ensuring that Compliance controls are implemented in the Bank in accordance with the regulatory requirements and UAB policies/procedures. Perform Compliance Assurance tasks and duties as per the relevant Laws and Regulations, Bank’s policies and procedures, and best market practices. Principal Accountabilities: Actively assist in timely execution of the Annual Compliance Assurance Plan, which is part of the overall Compliance Department Annual Plan, by supporting in: Review Planning and scoping; Design and operating effectiveness testing; Raising and discussion of issues; Reporting and Findings; Issue Management and Follow-up. Provide support in development and execution of the Annual Compliance Plan and with any regulatory submissions. Maintain up-to-date awareness of the regulatory developments to ensure that relevant changes are being monitored, assessed and embedded accordingly. Support in the development and review of the Compliance Assurance methodology, including Policies and SOPs, test scripts, checklists, and all applicable forms to ensure they are aligned with the regulatory requirements. Collaborate with UAB stakeholders in a clear and an effective manner during Compliance Assurance reviews. Assist Compliance Assurance Manager with Compliance Assurance advisory queries. Provide support in reporting the detailed and accurate Compliance Assurance Management Information to the Bank’s Governance forums, Compliance Committees, Board and Board Committee meetings. Timely provide the requested information during Internal Audit reviews and Regulatory Examinations, ensuring accurate and complete responses, effective stakeholder engagement and closure of findings within agreed timelines. Job Requirements (Qualification/Experience): Bachelors Degree Valid Compliance or Internal Audit qualification(s) is a plus 5+ years in Regulatory Compliance and / or Assurance and / or Audit position (3+ years’ experience in Financial Crime Compliance is a plus) Show more Show less
