About the role Position Title: Consultant – Water & Steam Work Location: Kuwait Department: On-sync Energy Management Services Company. Job Responsibilities Provide technical support for steam generation, distribution, injection, and condensate systems. Optimize water treatment, boiler performance, steam quality, and water quality. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational performance. Troubleshoot boiler, steam, water-treatment, cooling-water, and utility-system issues. Review operating data, chemical treatment programs, water chemistry, steam quality, and condensate performance. Support technical studies, debottlenecking initiatives, facility modifications, and engineering projects. Review engineering designs, specifications, vendor proposals, and technical submissions. Conduct technical audits, system assessments, and performance evaluations. Support energy, water, and steam conservation and efficiency initiatives. Provide technical guidance to Operations and Maintenance teams and support multidisciplinary technical activities. Provide independent technical recommendations to support operational decision-making and system improvement. Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Water, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience. Significant experience in heavy-oil or thermal recovery operations, steam generation, water treatment, and utility systems. Oil & Gas field experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of boilers, steam-generation systems, steam distribution and injection, water treatment, and water chemistry. Strong understanding of boiler water chemistry, chemical treatment, steam quality, condensate management, and cooling-water systems. Strong troubleshooting, optimization, performance assessment, and technical-reporting skills. Knowledge of applicable engineering standards and HSE requirements. Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent certification is preferred. CEM, boiler, water-treatment, or other relevant specialist certification is an advantage. Strong understanding of heavy-oil steam injection and thermal recovery processes. Ability to work effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Reservoir, Production, and Projects teams.
