Role Description The Lighting Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuwait, responsible for designing and developing lighting concepts for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Day-to-day tasks include creating lighting plans, selecting fixtures and controls, producing detailed layouts and specifications, and coordinating with architects, interior designers, and project managers. The role involves preparing technical drawings and documentation, supporting project bids, and ensuring designs meet functional, aesthetic, energy-efficiency, and safety requirements. The Lighting Designer will also participate in client meetings, present design proposals, and provide guidance during installation and commissioning to ensure design intent is fully realized. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting for diverse project types. Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Lighting and Lighting Control systems, including fixture types and controls integration. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Interior Design principles to align lighting solutions with overall spatial concepts. Candidates should possess proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Relux, or similar). Candidates should possess strong visual and technical communication skills, including the ability to create clear presentations and documentation. Candidates should possess good project coordination abilities, attention to detail, and capability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in lighting projects is highly beneficial. Candidates should possess fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic and experience in the Gulf region are considered an advantage. Show more Show less
