Head Bartender

Role Description The Head Bartender role is a full-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar, responsible for leading bar operations within CLSTR’s event and hospitality venues. This role oversees daily bar service, including preparing and serving beverages, managing bar inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards. The Head Bartender trains, schedules, and supervises bar staff, ensuring consistent service quality and adherence to CLSTR’s guest experience standards. This position also handles cash and payment procedures, coordinates with event and operations teams to support service during live events, and contributes to menu development, beverage presentations, and guest engagement. The Head Bartender is expected to model professional behavior, resolve guest issues efficiently, and help create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere at all CLSTR events. Qualifications Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a welcoming and positive guest experience. Excellent communication abilities for coordinating with team members and interacting with a diverse clientele. Solid food & beverage knowledge, including cocktails, mocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic offerings. Proficiency in bartending techniques and bar operations, including drink preparation and bar setup/breakdown. Accurate cash handling skills, including processing payments, managing tabs, and reconciling registers. Previous experience as a Head Bartender, Bar Supervisor, or similar leadership role in a hospitality or events environment. Ability to lead and mentor a bar team, manage shifts, and work efficiently in fast-paced, high-volume settings. Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and responsible service standards; relevant certifications are an advantage. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with event schedules. Proficiency in English; additional language skills are beneficial. Experience working in multicultural environments is a plus. Show more Show less
