Technical Office Engineer

The Technical Office Engineer role at KME for Ventilation Industries is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Technical Office Engineer is responsible for preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with design and site teams, and ensuring alignment with project specifications and applicable standards. Daily tasks include developing and updating bills of quantities (BOQs), performing quantity surveying, and supporting cost estimation activities. The role also involves collaborating with civil and electrical engineering teams, responding to technical queries, and providing documentation and reports to support project execution. The Technical Office Engineer contributes to continuous improvement by identifying design optimization opportunities and supporting technical compliance for ventilation and HVAC-related projects. Qualifications Ability to prepare, review, and coordinate shop drawings for HVAC and ventilation projects. Proficiency in developing and updating BOQs and performing quantity surveying for MEP works. Foundational knowledge in Civil Engineering related to building services and structural coordination. Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to HVAC, ventilation systems, and low current integration. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline. Experience in technical office work within MEP, HVAC, or ventilation industries is highly beneficial. Strong skills in CAD and relevant design software, along with MS Office (especially Excel). Attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
