Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role based in Mesaieed. The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and related systems on company vehicles and heavy equipment used in ready-mix concrete operations. Daily tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, identifying mechanical issues, replacing or repairing faulty parts, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. The role involves maintaining accurate service records, coordinating with operations and logistics teams to minimize downtime, and following all safety, environmental, and company procedures. The Diesel Mechanic may also assist in planning maintenance schedules and supporting emergency repairs to keep production and delivery on track. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Diesel Mechanics skills, including diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. Candidates should possess skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance for fleet trucks, mixers, and plant machinery. Candidates should possess experience working with Heavy Equipment commonly used in construction or ready-mix operations. Candidates should possess knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life. Technical diploma or certification in diesel mechanics, automotive technology, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic, ideally within construction, transport, or industrial operations. Ability to read technical manuals, interpret diagnostic data, and use standard mechanical and diagnostic tools safely.
