Product Manager - Point of Sale

We are hiring a Product Manager to join a leading retail business in Dubai and lead the replacement of their in store point of sale platform. This is a large, practical programme for someone who has taken a till system from first pilot to a full store estate and knows what it takes to get cashiers using it with confidence. The business is investing in replacing its ageing checkout technology, and this role will own that change. Discover the role Your main job is to get a new POS platform designed, piloted and rolled out across the store network, covering staffed tills, self checkout, handheld devices and customer screens. Success means stores running on the new platform, transactions moving quickly and store teams trusting it. Because the till is often the moment a customer is recognised, the platform also needs to support the wider digital and loyalty plans. You will make sure it does, though that sits behind the core rollout in priority. Discover the responsibilities Shape the product and roadmap for the new POS, from early pilots through to a staged rollout across stores and markets. Use feedback from cashiers and store teams, along with transaction speed and usage data, to decide what gets built next while keeping the platform reliable. Work with risk and audit colleagues from the outset so fraud controls, tax and receipt rules and data protection are built in properly. Plan the order of store launches with engineering, operations and training teams, and step in quickly when problems come up on the ground, from payment discrepancies to hardware faults. Put the right reporting in place to track till speed, cashier skill levels and platform health, and use those numbers to argue for priorities. Make sure checkout supports loyalty sign in, digital receipts and prompts to download the app, helping store shoppers become digital customers too. Discover the requirements We are looking for someone who has lived through a large retail systems rollout and come out the other side with stores running smoothly. You have owned the rollout of a POS or comparable store system, taking it from pilot to many stores in more than one market. You are confident working with transaction data and turning it into clear priorities. You can bring engineering, store operations, risk, audit and training teams behind one plan. You have run phased launches before and know how to handle sequencing, incidents, training and updates for senior stakeholders. Experience reporting to a steering committee is a bonus. You care about making checkout quick and painless for the people using it every day.
